Not tonight....didn't get it where I wanted. I hooked the AMM to dyno power and saw 3800 watts for my best number. And before you tell me I'm going to blow my amp because it's mounted to the box I know and I thank you lol.

I can't stand this myth, nor believe how many people think its true.

Amps are subject to vibration regardless of mounting location.

That myth frustrates me so much

I have seen a big company owner say "put your head on the box and tell me you want your amp subject to the same abuse" (or something like that)
I dont want to put my head on any part of my car at full tilt, exterior included.

Regardless, I have 4 amps mounted to a single ply box with 2 18s, yet I have no breakage....

Back to topic,

I wonder if mounting the amp on top and moving the box back a little more would yield even better results.

I assume you're going for the big trunk 5-0, and it sounds like you're close. You're a dick for making me have to speculate though haha
