Nick580
hip hop, rap, and club music are all different styles of music. Hip Hop requires some kind of M.C. and usually is more lyrically oriented. Rap consists of anyone who can make a rhyme. It doesn't have to make sense but it does have to flow and rhyme. Club rap, however usually doesn't contain any meaningful lyrics and is all about the beat. Because, the beat is all that really matters in a club. Im a fan of Hip Hop... Ahmed Johnson
Thugs were alot more educated back then. Their parents were fighting for their kids right to an education, and making sure they go to school. While the parents of the thugs these days are fighting over weed and natural ice and not paying attention to their kids.

JeremyN
You are saying that all rap music these days are only like lil jon. Obviously that's not true. If you don't like that style of rap (bangers, hype tracks) then don't. There are plenty of other artists that still rap about relevant social issues, you just have to look for them harder because they don't get played on the radio as much. no Im saying that rap is still alive but with likes of the UGK and Young Jezzy , rick ross ( early stuff ) and the Game. I just cant believe LIL John can release an instrumental and call it a "song" EDIT: dont forget E - 40 and Too $hort 2 12" Jeff Vue Customs 1 set MB Quart FSB 216 in doors1 American Bass 100.1 on sub1 Hertz EP2 on doorsJVC deck IPOD controlStock 105 amp alt DD-1big 3new build in Chevy caviler http://www.stevemead...chevy-cavalier/last set up in the ZX2 http://www.stevemead...-current-build/old build log http://www.stevemead...-1998-ford-zx2/ Gold is the money of kings, silver is the money of gentlemen, debt is the money of slaves. SLAYER1805
No, it's trap n bass. You can't compare an electric genre to hip hop just because a hip hop artist does a feature with one vocal line on it Of course the "turn down for what song" is making more money than the other. Did they have the internet, radio, and media support and exposure easily attainable as it is now? Probably not There are good hip hop artists out nowadays and good music in general. It's just not easily noticed as what the majority audience listens to. I think Kendrick Lamar, The Game, and Big K.R.I.T are some of the handful of mainstream artists sticking to the roots somewhat
