Tarball Posted June 23, 2014 Report Posted June 23, 2014 good price. Talking OFC to OFC and depending on your current draw as long as you are getting true 1/0 or in your case 2/0 or better then you are good. Knu 1/0 is like standard 2/0 for example and would cost about 120 for the same length. You would however get some additional flexibility (yes even over flexible welding wire) and corrosion resistance due to the tinned strands. Wouldn't use anything else. 49 Ford will have all 0 guage except the points where I HAVE to use smalller cable, but it will still be welding cable. I'm thinking 2 guage running to Amplifiers and Air Compressors ... Kenwood / HELIX / Linear Power (For The Love Of Music) / Brutal Sounds / OverKill Electric Co Questions About Sound Quality ?? SlamminBeats Posted June 23, 2014 Report Posted June 23, 2014 ive been using wire and supply welding cable over knu, havent looked back on the price point. only thing you lose out on is tinned.. but honestly for the price its not worth it to me to use knu.
Guest Posted June 23, 2014 Report Posted June 23, 2014 If it is real copper then it is fine, might not flex as easy as the other stuff but who ties wire in knots anyway ive been using wire and supply welding cable over knu, havent looked back on the price point. only thing you lose out on is tinned.. but honestly for the price its not worth it to me to use knu. LOL @ some1 who runs almost all DD saying they look at a price point on wire.....

fox_racin4 Posted June 24, 2014 Report Posted June 24, 2014 Beat part about wleding wire is how heat resistant it is. At slamology i had a zip tie melt from heat, and my welding wire was laying on my header. About 8" away was some knu wire... The jacket split from the heat. 1998 gmc extd cab 12 crossfire C710s 4 SAZ-4500s 3 Singer 400A altsbuncha mids/highs Team Asshole
