Ninja_v1.0 Posted August 5, 2014 Report Posted August 5, 2014 Get a PWK design. It'll be so overwhelming not loud you'll have a flat response. i just fucking choked laughing When your at the top everyone is coming for you, friends, family, haters and even those who don't know you.. my advice.. KILL EM ALL
sencheezy Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 Yeah man, just too many variables. Because each change you make will effect the response. The best investment would be an meter. Once you have a meter, then decide where you want to have an flat response. Because you can have a flat response in the kick, but how is it going to sound at the headrest? From there, try to make one change at an time, have the most controlled testing as possible. Until you reach your goal. Also, tip, always turn down, never turn up. 165db with 237 DC Volts 6 15" SSA Evils 3 HV Taramps T60k @.33 18 XS Power D3400s Add me on SC, FB, IG, and YT @ Sencheezy
mothra Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 if you really are looking for a flat response get an EQ that has 10 bands of subsonic frequencies. too difficult to get a flat response with enclosure alone. all the SQ guys that want a flatter response use EQs they don't build enclosures. if nothing changes, nothing changes You don't know what you don't know, till you don't know
FocusOn20s Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 you could start with a smaller enclosure with a low tune

TaylorFade Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 You can model all day, get it perfect, build it perfectly and still have retarded peaks and nulls due to the cabin response. As was mentioned, models assume a 10x10x10 anechoic chamber. That isn't even feasible for HT. Lol. The other thing is that parameters shift during stroke. That .424265 Qts listed in your TSP might be .79 at 75% excursion. But... it's the best we got unless you want to drop a grand or so on the Smith & Larson woofer tester "pro" that pulls TSP during stroke.
