OrionStang Posted August 22, 2014 Report Posted August 22, 2014 The big 3 isn't hard. Just do it. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
Triticum Agricolam Posted August 22, 2014 Report Posted August 22, 2014 The big 3 upgrade is simple and inexpensive. It will make things "right" and will only help you. It sounds like you are trying to find reasons to not do it, don't be that guy. slowfkncar Posted August 22, 2014 Report Posted August 22, 2014 In my experience, caps will ruin your stock electrical. There is no reason why a cap would prevent your battery from dying because it will pull more current at one time then the amp does all by itself. The big three and a batt is all you need unless you step above the 150-200a mark, then comes the high output alt. Get a voltmeter for your interior and monitor it. Every time it dumps below 12.8,turn it down and let the poor battery charge for a minuit.
SQL50 Posted August 22, 2014 Report Posted August 22, 2014 If you have problems not getting enough juice, adding a 2nd battery, even a small one, is going to yield the best results everytime.
