So hard to choose, it all depends on how the live recordings are mixed. I love live recordings for the added ambiance, and if it's well mastered, can make me feel like I'm actually at the venue listening. Of course, at that point it all comes down to what you're listening to the music on...

Love a good live show, but so hard to recreate the magic of a perfect album.

OK, now that I have a few votes, here comes part two of my question.

Since the majority of the people have selected digitally remastered, why is it that some people will say that you don't need rear speakers in your car?

After all if what the majority wants is digitally remastered content myself included. Would it not be correct to have a rear stage also for all the content that has surround sound?

Leaving it out would limit your reproduction of some content that was meant to be heard with a rear stage.

just my .02 cents

Since most music is recorded in stereo rear speakers are just playing the same thing as up front in just a basic setup. Quadraphonic 8-tracks are pretty cool though

Good point,

I like live better, except it almost always sounds terrible. Somehow people who just absolutely can't sing end up on CDs.
