Yea, I have talked to a few and they said they start to make 6 figures after about 5 years or so in the business. At least the guys at my work and my dads work said that. Agreed, I am not a system admin but I do have friends that I graduated with that are and most are only making in the $50-60,000 range. They are likely to make close to $100,000 at some point in their career but will take quite a while to do so. The admin at the company I work for makes over $100K but he is 36 and has been doing that type of work since the age of 22.
