I have a RF prime 1200. it has been working perfectly for over a year. Well last weekend i decided to install my SHCA 1/0 and a extra XS Power D5100 in the trunk. I fused by both batterys with 200amp ANL fuses, My ground is nice clean metal on all sides. I put a 100amp relay fuse between the amp and the battery so i can still protect my stuff. Well after i had everything wired up and go to test the amp and make sure it turns on the relay fuse popped. I reset it and happened again. I removed the fuse to the back battery so the 2 will not be connected and same thing. I removed the rear battery from the loop the next time and same issue...think i have a short in my amp.!!

Make sure you don't have any stray wires hanging out of the amp terminals.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

i will double check that tomorrow

check to make sure your relay is wired correctly too.

if nothing changes, nothing changes

You don't know what you don't know, till you don't know

By "relay fuse" and "reset" I can only assume you mean a circuit breaker? Because once those are tripped they can fail too. I'd rather only use actual fuses.

But good on you for not eliminating it without putting something in it's place first.

Static drops are my bag.

By relay fuse, do you mean circuit breaker? What are we talking about here?

When you start blowing fuses, the last thing I would recommend that you do is take them out of the equation. They're trying to tell you something is wrong.

the 100 amp relay may be too small just put a relay in that does not exceed amps pulled by amplifier. not looking it up but like 150amp or 200amp.
