gckless Posted January 13, 2015 Author Report Posted January 13, 2015 6 cubes airspace or 6 cubes net? 6 internal gross. With an aero will be about 5.5 not including sub displacements, but I might run inverted so that may not be an issue. "Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now. Keith77 Posted January 13, 2015 Report Posted January 13, 2015 He wants a 6th order ^ Thats cool. Im way too old to be upset by shit like that. Your name is winston. Your own parents hated you even before you were born. My penis is bigger than your penis I'm far from loud and my roof/headliner flaps around like Adam's ass on a windy day. I think it depends more on the structure of the vehicle.
gckless Posted January 13, 2015 Author Report Posted January 13, 2015 Well there's one vote for a 6th order. Lol. Four 10's that work well in 1.25 per would work well. Triticum Agricolam Posted January 13, 2015 Report Posted January 13, 2015 If you are after more SQ, more cone area = less excursion for the same db = cleaner sound, generally speaking. Just something to think about. "Nothing prevents people from knowing the truth more than the belief they already know it.""Making bass is easy, making music is the hard part."Builds:
philrab Posted January 13, 2015 Report Posted January 13, 2015 A 12 in a 4th order with room to spare. That's my vote at least. That, or walk down the dark road of transmission lines like I'm thinking about doing. 2015 Toyota Tacoma Build Thread 2007 Mazda 3; 5000K HID's, Kenwood Excelon KDC-X997, Infinity Reference 6.5 comps in front and coaxials in the rear doors, JL 320.4 four channel, Rab Designs built ported enclosure with an SA12, Kenwood monoblock, Redline Leater shift boot/e-brake boot/center console cover, JBR short shifter/shifter bushings/rear motor mount. Build Thread 1996 Mazda Miata: Kenwood Excelon HU, Alpine speaker in the doors, Clearwater (miata specific) headrest speakers. 1994 Mazda Protege: Kenwood Excelon HU, Infinity Reference 2 ways all around, 2x RF Punch 10's in ported boxes.
gckless Posted January 13, 2015 Author Report Posted January 13, 2015 Actually, that was my next thought. Four SA-10's tuned to 30, or two X-10's tuned to Fs in a T-line. **Not necessarily going with Sundown, just chosen for sub-caliber reference** "Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now. It's an option that has me curious we'll say. 2015 Toyota Tacoma Build Thread 2007 Mazda 3; 5000K HID's, Kenwood Excelon KDC-X997, Infinity Reference 6.5 comps in front and coaxials in the rear doors, JL 320.4 four channel, Rab Designs built ported enclosure with an SA12, Kenwood monoblock, Redline Leater shift boot/e-brake boot/center console cover, JBR short shifter/shifter bushings/rear motor mount. It's an option that has me curious we'll say. For me, I don't think T-line would work. Probably going to stick with Tantric, and TSPs change so not sure it would work out in the end the way I wanted. So either four LD (basically SD-2's) 10's or two HD (in between X's and Z's) 12's. Regular ported around 30Hz. "Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now.
