Welp sold 3 of the 4 batteries out of the back, the 4th is my brother's anyways so i'm without bass again. Going to be ordering a D7500 and some more toolmaker goodies in the next few weeks hopefully. Gotta get caught up on bills for the moment first.

Quick pic i took while i was taking the batteries out. I have a circuit breaker at the front of the explorer on the main feed line so i just tripped that to cut power to the back, no shorting lol.

Well I have the 3400 under the hood and I'm not running a 4ch as of yet. According to specs, the 7500 should sustain a 5k system and I'm not burping at frequency where all 5k would be needed so I hope I'll be alright. Voltage gauges will be my friend for sure, keep tabs on what's happening at all major voltage points, ie alternator, battery and amp inputs. If I need more I'll grab something else, I've seen a 3100 wedged under the hood of an explorer once before, also considering dual alternators.

IM thinking about dual alts down the road ac is already deleted on my truck. Want to eventually if the truck lasts wall it and run 2 5ks . But right now that's more of a dream then anything.

Like this

Ac compressor started to lockup. So better reason to run dual alts

Build is looking really good man!!

A pointer on the crimps if you'd like....

start with a die 1 or 2 sizes larger than your final crimp. Crimp along the entire shaft of the lug, it will take you 2 or 3 times. After each squeeze, release the lug and rotate it a quarter turn. Taking these steps obviously takes more time, but results in a really neat looking crimp and you dont have the thin sharp copper sticking out of the sides, which looks really clean under the heat shrink.

Heres how mine come out. 2/0 SHCA cable and a 16 ton crimper.
