aculous Posted February 7, 2015 Report Posted February 7, 2015 So just came from my local pick-n-pull yard and came back with two runs of 10ft automotive grade, 0 gauge, stranded welding cable with a soft rubber surround. I got both for 1$ Since I like you people so far....well most of you.... You can grab it out of later model dodges, 2005 and up. Its a dick move kinda but I have no problem with it if its at a pick n pull yard. Basically dodge started putting the battery in the truck of most 300, Magnums, Chargers and Challengers (I think, I know in magnums and 300s). Just unplug the battery in the trunk and then go up to passenger side footwell, underneath the carpet and a piece of foam and rubber there is a metal terminal you can either unscrew the bolt or cut the cable there and then thread it through the back of the car. Make sure you have access under the rear seat. It will snake under two cross members then you will have your 10ft piece of 0 gauge. Its a decent amount of work but for the $2 to get into the yard and the 15 minutes I spent getting the two cables out it was worth it money wise. Now granted I was there to get my interior but it may be worth it for you cash strapped bassheads.
Broke_Audio_Addict Posted February 7, 2015 Report Posted February 7, 2015 Word on the streets is that BMW uses superior wire. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

Broke_Audio_Addict Posted February 8, 2015 Report Posted February 8, 2015 I think you guys missed what I was talking about. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/182700-cheap-4-gauge-wire/ That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
aculous Posted February 8, 2015 Author Report Posted February 8, 2015 ...So I get it, its easier to buy new wire from SHCA or Knu. That thread was a cluster fuck of bullshit. But if you have more time then money, ripping out 1/0 gauge welding cable in 10ft lengths from a car is not hard. And if you can buy for $1 a pop like I did...you end up with a $10 investment instead of a $200 investment for 100ft. Its an option. Thats all I am saying.
audiofanaticz Posted February 8, 2015 Report Posted February 8, 2015 wish i drove a geo metro too so all I needed was 10 foot pieces 1gauge.
