Go-N-Def
The 3.5cf is for the sub to breathe. But there's going to be additional space added for the port, etc . In the end the box will be 3.5cf plus the add space. Yo dog i heard you like boxes. so i put a box inside a box so you can bass while you FAIL

Joe X
Joe, this net number this applies to the subs space not including the other or including port and bracing. You got it now, net is the effective airspace the sub "feels".

In the end the box will be 3.5cf plus the add space. In the end the box is still 3.5 cu. You originally build the box bigger to account for the space the port and bracing will take up. 03 Sable LS AA mayhem 12" D2 Sundown ZV4 12" D1 Tantric HD 12" D2 Tantric SHD 12" D1 Sundown X12 V2 D2 2.5 cu net Sundown 2000d @ 1 ohm XS Power XP2000 Sky High Sound Deadener Sky High wire Stock alt
Go-N-Def
Just being sure. Because for a while I've been making the 3.5cf or whatever exactly 3.5cf or whatever with port and or bracing crammed in there. Wondering why it sounded ugly. If it doesn't sound good then it's not the box volume creating the problem, that's if your around the 3.5 cu mark 03 Sable LS AA mayhem 12" D2 Sundown ZV4 12" D1 Tantric HD 12" D2 Tantric SHD 12" D1 Sundown X12 V2 D2 2.5 cu net Sundown 2000d @ 1 ohm XS Power XP2000 Sky High Sound Deadener Sky High wire Stock alt
