08tahoe Posted March 31, 2015 Report Posted March 31, 2015 Yesterday I sprayed some expanding foam on my roof in my tahoe and it was pretty hot out. It all just melted and dripped to the floor. Is this supposed to be used in a cool place? I tried to search and could find anything about not using it in the heat. Also the cans I have are not expired but are about to be expired on april 4th, could that be the problem? I sprayed some outside in the shade and it worked fine.

Put it in your fridge when you go to work.......... When its HOT as nuts.. it will not adhere the same... nor will it "space up"..... had many peeps tell me i did it wrong.......... Keep it on the colder side of room temp.... it will work better... trust me... (if it "poured out" when you where pushing it.. its not right..) I just thought it would expand and then harden but it expanded and then melted. spraying expanding foam in the heat.. N8 will never have that problem did you shake the cans? if its liquid like or foamy? Yea, i shook it for almost a minute since it sais to shake for 30 seconds. It sprayed out foamy and then just turned into liquid and dripped and only a little hardened. Expanding foam and heat This is exactly what happened to me.
