hoit
Hello all, I'm considering getting a couple of 8 inch mid bass drivers to be mounted in my front doors. I saw these, and wanted to get some feedback from anyone who uses these, or have used them before. Any thoughts? Also considering looking into other brands...This is NOT a vs. thread in anyway, just looking at some options and choices. hoit
I have the Precision Power three way set (65C3) and 2 X10s...just looking for a gap filler (100-3000 Hz). dolarbilz
I feel your system may just need a good tuning. You should need no other drivers to fill that gap.those 3 ways are sweet.
hoit
You may be right dolarbilz, I'm just running passive...not quite ready to make the move to active. 2007 Chevy Aveo Ls sedan 2 Sundown Xv2 on scv4k @ .5 ohm 2 pair RE XXX 6.5 components on sax200.4 @ 2 ohm Big Three, Three runs 1/0 power from front to back, 1 ground front to back Two runs ground from rear bank to chassis XS power d3100 upfront, 3 Odyssey 2150s in bank Singer 220 amp alt
Karkov
hmmm...even in passive your set up should be pretty sweet (relative) but I'm curious what others say. gckless
So how are you going to be running these new mids passive? Also, why would you need a gap filler between 100 and 3kHz if you have a three way set? I think you've got some tuning issues that need to be resolved. Throwing drivers at your current problem isn't the right solution. Explain your setup as it stands. "Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now.
