Solar panel cost needs to come down a lot more too. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

I'm sure orders will be backed up for a while though. Won't be a big move till it's actually affordable to the people who would benefit most from it. Solar panel cost needs to come down a lot more too. I'm not sure of the cost of solar panels required for a standard house (though I know it's not cheap), but these are $3500 for the 10kWh. Assuming the cost of solar panels are around the same price, and also assuming an average electricity bill is around $150, it would take only about 4 years to pay itself off. Poor people don't have that kind of money up front. Also don't you foresee the power companies putting a stop to it? I do and I wouldn't be surprised if one of them bought up all the available ones. The other problem is tesla doesn't have the facilities available to make enough of them to supply even the limited demand they have now so how could they support an increased demand? Nothing if you consider the returns and the overall house price of over 350k. As far as stock prices go, should have invested long ago. $250 a share is hardly a bargain.
