bcbrassard
Fuse box back in and i have a wiring route for the back up camera. Along these grounds up to the fuse box and grab the reverse trigger to HU. Relocated trunk illumination trigger to the left side for fuse box and relays. Be mounted somewhere around here. Not sure what i am doing with the relays yet. Worked on back up camera, ended up ordering smoked lenses and need them to finish. Auto parts store had shitty ones. Taped these connections together to keep to tiny ass wires protected and the plugs. I will treat it better once its together. Started cleaning up the enclosure yesterday. Removed decals & foam. Used counter sink bit to prep holes for epoxy. Sand clear coat off entire box. Epoxy in holes. I dawned on me to us the factory spare tire mount for battery tray. I will have to cut threads about an inch above the plywood. Trying to figure out power runs. My wire supply is really short and can't afford any right now so i turned the battery around to make run shorter. Grounds thru the spare tire well with grommet. That part is easy. the power runs from fuse to battery are harder, i hadn't plan on them being on top of the amp rack. Really there wasn't a solid plan just idea's i guess. Bolted in and snug. I will make a ABS strap to hold the battery down, Skim coat to smooth the gap. Holes topped off with bondo to smooth it all out.

bcbrassard
Thanks man, It has been hard to get any traction with working on the marriage, doing the honey dew list, taking care of the 12 yrs son and to top it off i found out i start work on the 10-15th. I hope to get the box and the battery tray painted this week and maybe some more wiring. then i will have to bag it until the fall. Thanks for checking it out. And i don't have to cut the mounting post down because it has a top piece that is meant to support the factory cardboard that covers the spare tire well. Thanks for checking it out and i hope your family is safe during this power take over of civil liberty's they call a pandemic.
oldsoundguy
holy crap 9k? I totaled my truck March 30th this year. Took out my system. Sad day indeed. I bought the family a new vehicle and took back my 2006 scion xb for my work vehicle. Started buying things for a new system. I am going to install a pioneer 4500nex touch screen with back up camera. Has all the active settings like the prs 80. I am going to use the arc audio to run the whole thing. 4" fatal pro in the dash, 6.5 Lanzar mids in the door and a skar audio 8" shallow mount for just behind the passenger seat. Just waiting on everything to show up. 80prs Arc Audio Xdi 1200.6 (using active crossovers) Freaking awesome amplifier Incriminator IA 10.1 Focal PS 130v 5.25 (doors) 4" Faital pro Neo (kick panels) 3" Faital pro Neo and focal tweets( dash) DC Audio level 3 12" custom box designed by joex built by me AGM front, XS 750SE batteries rear DC 180 alt 99 Toyota Tacoma extra cab http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/179476-my-small-build-turned-into-the-ongoing-build/

Just waiting on everything to show up. Sorry to hear about your truck, that sucks man! I was a nice looking truck with a killer system. What did you end up buy for the wife? The Scion was a nice ride from what i remember. You should make a new build log of the Scion for old time sake. How's life down there? We have less than 400 cases of corvid-19, 7 deaths and they locked us down like the rest of the USA. We have a population of 730,000 people in the biggest state of the USA spread out over a shit ton of miles. Not needed IMO. I don't know how far back you looked into my build log but the wife bought a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee TrailHawk used. Nice ride but i would 45K better than that IMO. So i got the Malibu, Stripped interior to put a shit ton of deadening in it 2 winters ago. 3+ boxes of SecondSkin deadener, 13 rolls of Soundskin for the interior. Then i bought up 7k+ of equipment, tools, wire & hardware. It doesn't take long really, add a label maker for wiring, led lights through out, interior wiring , fasteners, inserts, ect, ect, ect! It's almost overwhelming when you look at the big picture, but mainly i am trying my best to do the steps that layer the wiring, panels and equipment so i don't miss anything and add something to make it look ugly. Plus the marriage issue really slowed me down, i am greatful to be coming home this weekend before i start work. Hopefully we can make it work and if not we can say we did everything possible. And i am always doing something to the Lancer. I bought $300 worth of SoundQube momo amps to replace the RF Power T400-4 & T1500.1 so the Malibu would be all RF Power series amps. Looking back i wish i bought a Zapco DSP and Amps for this build, but i was trying to work with some of the equipment i had to keep cost down. Send me a pic of the Scion, i forgot what it looked like. As always good to hear from you. Take care Buddy.
