oldschoolbeats Posted May 25, 2015 Report Posted May 25, 2015 Well i started my build, car is a tiny 2004 honda civic coupe, putting in a wall with 2 custom built ne 18"s using sundown spl cones, new tooled baskets, spiders and coils. I have 2 cactus sounds k9s amps to push them with. This car is going to be strictly a burp car. Running 8 105ah agm batteries and 3 ohio generator 300 amp hairpin alts on a cutom bracket. The photo of the big chunks of steel is going to be machined into the baseplate/pole for the neo motors.
oldschoolbeats Posted May 31, 2015 Author Report Posted May 31, 2015 Well got some more work done on the box, ended up being 14.8cuft 235" of port and tuned to 43hz, the only thing i have left is to roundover the port edge with a larger roundover bit, ordered up a 1.5" radius bit. After these pictures were taken i did put resin on the inside of the entire box, not sure if will help it any numbers wise, i had a gallon of resin that needed used up so what the hell it cant hurt. Next i will be installing the box after i take a sledgehammer to the innder wheel wells to make room to slide the box all the way in.

oldschoolbeats Posted June 1, 2015 Author Report Posted June 1, 2015 Well i got the box in, had to take out the seats, center console etc to get it in, i didnt figure the door opening would be so small, had to hack a chunk out of the door jam.... cars going to the body shop anyway so i will weld it back in and they can paint the jam with the rest.... after i got the box all the way in ( tight as fit... wedged up to the roof) i was picking up my tools and went to grab my small ha dle sledge that was sitting on top of the car and it slipped out of my hand and went right through the back window.... oh well.... whats another $200.......
oldschoolbeats Posted June 1, 2015 Author Report Posted June 1, 2015 After busting the back window i said screw it and finished turning the baseplate/pole for the subs, just need to put them in the mill and drill, counterbore and ream the holes for the bolts and dowels for the radial towers that hold the magnets, then to make the top plate and radial bars which will be easy.
