escalade_casey Posted June 8, 2015 Report Posted June 8, 2015 I am seriously considering upgrading my amp and subs to a pair of TEAM FI 18's on a Banda 10k. How many batteries or total number of amp hours should I shoot for to keep my voltage drop in the 14's or 13.8v at the lowest ? Ill be using XS Power D3100's . Also what is the total amout of amps my alternators should put out to keep up with the batteries ? I have a dual alt bracket with singer alts on a 6.2 vortec in an Escalade with dual runs of 0 to the back. Any info or a link to some sort of calculator would be greatly appreciated. I just got back into car audio after a lengthy hiatus and need a little help catching up. Thanks guys !

Raptorman Posted June 8, 2015 Report Posted June 8, 2015 Probably the worst place to ask this question, but I can help you out.If you can have two alts, I would get two ~320's. For batteries, roughly 4-5 group 31's total. 1996 GMC Sonoma Four Fi BTL Neo 18's In 2:1 6th Order Bandpass 2 Ampere 5k's @ .5 TEAM FI TEAM #LITHIUMCANTDEMO On 10/20/2013 at 0:37 AM, KillaCam said: Fucking with a Prius driver is like making fun of a disabled kid. escalade_casey Posted June 8, 2015 Author Report Posted June 8, 2015 Thanks guys, I really appreciate the help. Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section. Since I only have 265 alternators I'll upgrade one to a 400+. Thanks again.

ChevyBoy95 Posted June 8, 2015 Report Posted June 8, 2015 With a single 370 hairpin, you would still need like 5-6 group 31's from a reputable company (something with fast discharge and recharge). escalade_casey Posted June 8, 2015 Author Report Posted June 8, 2015 Good info !! Ive seen a lot of talk about hairpin alternators. Whats the difference between a standard and hairpin ?
Beanz Posted June 8, 2015 Report Posted June 8, 2015 Hey where did u get your bracket for dual alternators? That's why they don't deliver. Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait. You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do.
