BigManAC
I unplugged the alt today like you suggested and the noise quit. It could be engine noise I guess and not alt whine. turn the key to aux and run your gear.... ill bet there is hiss... Alright Kyle I turned my car off and then on to acc and like you said there was a hiss. So its not alternator whine? 2001 Saturn L200-Sony MEX-BT4100PFRONT STAGE:- (4) Crescendo PWX 6- Cadence XA250.2SUB STAGE:-Fi Audio BL 15 (Sealed Off)-Crescendo BC2kELECTRICAL:- Singer 240A alt - XS Power D3400- SkyHigh OFC power/speaker wire- Big 3 with SkyHigh 0gaugeBuild Log: Click HereScores: 146.5db @ 29hz Outlaw
Broke_Audio_Addict
Can't be if the alt isn't on. An alt whine is usually a really high pitched noise that gets louder as the rpms increase. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. When the alt isn't on it is just a hiss but when I start the car it's a high pitched beep almost and whenever I give it has the pitch increases. 2001 Saturn L200-Sony MEX-BT4100PFRONT STAGE:- (4) Crescendo PWX 6- Cadence XA250.2SUB STAGE:-Fi Audio BL 15 (Sealed Off)-Crescendo BC2kELECTRICAL:- Singer 240A alt - XS Power D3400- SkyHigh OFC power/speaker wire- Big 3 with SkyHigh 0gaugeBuild Log: Click HereScores: 146.5db @ 29hz Outlaw
BigManAC
Okay guys so I've tried everything and I'm still having the noise come through the speakers. I bought it from DroppinHZ on May 7th and due to installing all of the new wore and stuff just now noticed the problem. Anyway do you guys think I should try and send it back or do you think they won't take it? 2001 Saturn L200-Sony MEX-BT4100PFRONT STAGE:- (4) Crescendo PWX 6- Cadence XA250.2SUB STAGE:-Fi Audio BL 15 (Sealed Off)-Crescendo BC2kELECTRICAL:- Singer 240A alt - XS Power D3400- SkyHigh OFC power/speaker wire- Big 3 with SkyHigh 0gaugeBuild Log: Click HereScores: 146.5db @ 29hz Outlaw
reedal
You can try it... The only way to find out if they'll take it back though is to contact them. Don't just mail it and expect a refund. I'm sure they have contact numbers/emails listed on their site, or you can message them here. Corona_Jeff is one. Or CJ18.
