I would get d2, wire to 1 ohm, and give it the full 1200 watts. Will still sound clean and you will be able to get more output. If you don't want it as loud, turn it down, but will have the option of getting louder.

The dual 2 ohm sub. Not the dual 4 ohm. It's not like wiring down to 1 ohm will make it sound bad at all. Will still sound clean and will be able to get more output than if it was at 2 ohm. If it is too loud, turn down the gain, but if your like 99% of bass heads, you will want it louder later on and that will give you the option to do so. Just what I would do.

I wasn't saying it would make it sound bad. But sound quality, as the OP says he wants, isn't a 1200 @ 1ohm sub stage.

crap, I got the D1. :( I just thought it meant OHMs not also voice coils. :( #fml

cool, thank you to all that help & answered my question, im going to get the 2ohm sub with the amp, they have a 4th of july sale from the 3rd to the 4th...

Neither is any other 1200w substage no matter what brand in my opinion, but maybe one of the SQ vets will chime in and correct me
