Yellow1000 Posted July 5, 2015 Report Posted July 5, 2015 I'm picking up one of these. Anyone have experience with one of these ? I'd like to build a t-line for it but I don't know what to tune it to for best results, and I'm not very good at the math . Help please ! LOL

Now if you are just doing it to play around then go for it. I can't help with specs or anything like that as I don't do designs. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
gckless Posted July 5, 2015 Report Posted July 5, 2015 Do a T-line if you have the space. Typically you tune a T-line to the driver's Fs with a port area equal to the driver's Sd. "Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now. It's like witchcraft... it automatically explains just about everything people don't understand. Yellow1000 Posted July 5, 2015 Author Report Posted July 5, 2015 I see the fs on these is 40, which is gonna make a pretty high tuned box , which in my opinion is not what I would like. I was hoping for tuning around 35 hz or so. So maybe a normal ported would work out a little better? But the 1/4 wave should be louder right?

Yellow1000 Posted July 5, 2015 Author Report Posted July 5, 2015 I was looking at the v3 I just realized. Thanks for the correction. So based on the fs of 35 that would be just fine by me. So, what kind of dimensions do I need to follow for port size and length ?
