Sound deadner

There's lots of great brands out there. Second Skin is certainly one of the best.

I actually looked hard at Stinger Roadkill for awhile. 36sqft for $95 shipped on Amazon. All butyl based. 6mil aluminum backing.

As for coverage, it's about bang for the buck. It's diminishing returns after a certain percentage. You may get 90% of the benefits with only 50% actual coverage (just ballparking numbers to prove a point). As for what the percentage of coverage you'd need in your particular vehicle to gain 90+% of the benefits, nobody would be able to answer that for you. Every vehicle and every interior is different. Just realize that you don't need 100% coverage it get a large percentage of the benefits.

I'd like to add this and say that people use the products for the wrong purpose as well and to properly quiet down a vehicle multiple different products such as mlv and ccf need to be used in conjunction with sound deadener.

Sound deadener is meant to change the resonance of the panel and does so by adding mass and controlling flex slightly but as stated above there is a point where adding more will do absolutely nothing but waste money.

Yup. CLD is about all that's ever discussed here because this board is dominated by bassheads. No offense to anyone. But the vast majority of posters here are two heavy-hittin 15"s or above. MLV and CCF is not on their to-do list. lol

If the goal is to stop vibrations and you're about to gut the interior anyway, you might think about using expanding foam anywhere metal touches metal. Then CLD on the long thin flat sheet metal. So if we're doing the roof, foam all around each roof brace/hoop and then CLD on the flat parts between braces. Same idea for the rear quarter panels, etc.

I have triple coverage on my doors. Inside of the inside of the outside. Draped it everywhere on my doors. Second Skin B stock. Stuff stuck like no other. (wear some gloves when applying it, if your a pussy)

That said, SKY HIGH has some great looking shit to. Id look into that also. Thick as hell, with killer backing.

I also have a 53lb box of AMPERE vibra flex sitting at a build up north.

There is some really nice shit out there, and some meh out there.
