Mauro376455 Posted January 8, 2016 Report Share Posted January 8, 2016 Lol i had one of those before and they always charged above 15.4 volts lol Also did a bad job at charging my batts i just use a xs power 12v charger and a battery tender jr for a slow charge. bdog Posted January 9, 2016 Author Report Share Posted January 9, 2016 It's not a Schumacher buts it's a older smart chargers that does not compensate for temperature. Today it warmed up a bit so I put them back on the charger and when I took them off they were holding better. @ 12.7. I think it's just time for a new smarter charger. dolarbilz Posted January 9, 2016 Report Share Posted January 9, 2016 Get a xspc15 charger..it has recovery mode and helps bring up voltage on batts..I had two kinetik 2000 resting around 12.7 I put them on recovery mode took about 2-3 weeks now there resting at 13volts! bdog Posted January 18, 2016 Author Report Share Posted January 18, 2016 I was reading on the odyssey site that discharged agms will need a high current charge of atleast 25% of the amp hour rating and smaller charger are only good for charging from 90-100%. With that method I would need a 30 amp charger. So this leaves me with many questions. Like does high frequency chargers get around this ?
