5.5 - 6.0 cubes is awfully big for a single 15".

Have you tried modeling the output in any box simulation software to see what kind of frequency response you are going to get?

I got the 5.5-6.0 cu ft estimate from psi so I assume there reasonably correct seeing as how it's their radiator and unfortunately my dog has recently chewed through my laptop charger and im left with no computer but friends ones occasionally but I would love to put it in winisd 8 or something it's 2 psi passive radiators 15" and a crescendo forte 15" also I can post full specs of the radiators in just a moment

The box should be built according to the woofer's specs, not the PR's.

This. A PR is a port, just a somewhat lossy one. You're trading the weight of air in a traditional port for the mass on the PR. Therefore, you're still building for the driver. You get away with a smaller box because you don't have the additional size of the port in the box. Otherwise, net volume should be the same. For the most part anyway.

PSI's PRs are good, I did a build with a pair of 15" drivers and 18" PRs. Loved that setup. Just make sure you secure that box, because it's serious biz when those things get moving. Also, if at all possible, mount the PRs on opposite sides.

Yes, to my understanding it is small as compared to the vented enclosure seeing as how a PR takes place of a vent I would compare the box sizes and the pr box would achieve lower, flatter response in a smaller box than with port also never have port noise

PRs save port displacement. The lower tuning you want the greater box size savings you get.

One other question i have is do you wire the driver in phase or out of phase?

I'm confused by that because i'm not sure if the PR's would be more effective in or out of phase.

No problem haha any information on radiator boxes for the future helpful i unfortunately don't know the answer to your in phase or out of phase question but thanks for adding to the topic

Using a passive radiator has no effect on how you wire the sub.

If you are mounting the sub normally (magnet inside the box) wire it normally, if you are invert mounting the sub (magnet out), reverse the the polarity.
