Kyle13130
I'm planning on getting a FSD Audio FZ2600D and want to know if 1/0 Excelene welding cable is enough? It will be around 14-16 feet of cable. Also the company recommends a 250 amp fuse, should I place that closer to the amp or closer to the battery, I've heard recommendations for both.. Guest
the fuse should be as close to the battery as possible yes that cable is enough
Allen Lancos
What is it running a foot? EB-flex 2/0 welding cable is running the $1.60/ft special again i think! Love my EB-flex... I'll do body filler all day every day, but this reinforced, fortified fucking kitty hair can kiss my balls.
Broke_Audio_Addict
You should fuse both ends of the wire. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. Wood
Car audio wire like SHCA, Knu or the likes are oversize... So 1/0 AWG cable will work fine as that is what the amp calls for, not oversized 1/0 .. hope that helps!! BTW I replaced all my "car audio" cable with welding cable and have had WAY better results 2011 Nissan Altima aka Red Ruby HEADUNIT: Pioneer AVH X2700BS ELECTRICAL: -Singer 230a -Northstar gr34 -(2) Northstar SMS220 w/ Custom Terminals from 12V Metalworkz -100% Welding Cable FRONT STAGE:-(2 Sets) Hertz HSK165 -Hertz HSK130 -Ampere Audio 125.4 SUB STAGE: -(3) Sundown Audio SA REV2 12's -Ampere Audio 3800.1 V2 MISC (NON AUDIO RELATED): -Interior & Exterior Lights LED -Gloss Black Roof (PAINTED) -15% Front, 5% Rear Tint -Roof Spoiler -20" TSW Snettertons (20x8.5 front, 20x10 rear) -Custom Projector Retrofit (FX-R 3.0, 6.5k HID, Morimoto Mini H1 (faux projector), Quad Starry Night Halos) ----- COMING SOON!! -Aftermarket Fog Lights -Custom Painted Engine Covers My Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/169869-woods-2011-altima-aka-red-ruby-new-video-more-updates/page-109 Retrofit Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/185787-hid-projector-retrofitting-diy-by-wood/#entry2765346

audiofanaticz
You should fuse both ends of the wire. Does not really pay if there is no rear battery or power source. Its not like a fuse will stop the amp from blowing, so fusing by the amp is pointless, and fusing just the front by the battery is fine.
