Come to find out these things have quite the story behind them. Apparently people have paid high dollar for these from guys selling them out the back of a white van. I find it kind of entertaining. MADVIBES Posted March 19, 2016 Report Share Posted March 19, 2016 Its actually the companies sales model, they pretend to be selling left over speakers from a project and they are trying to get some beer money, the website for the speakers is even a sham with pumped up prices. here is a good measure if you are buying legit shit.. if the package has the retail price printed on it, its not legit. Here is another line they like to use, the same company that makes alpine makes these. I heard state and local govt were looking into the legality of people pretending to be selling stolen items that really are not stolen. Folks end up paying almost well made tool prices for stuff that is below even Harbor Freight quality. Broke_Audio_Addict Posted March 21, 2016 Report Share Posted March 21, 2016 Open them up and shows us pics of what's inside them, I've heard stories of them tossing bags of sand or a few bricks inside of them to make them heavy so it feels like quality. I'd also like to see the backs of the speakers. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
