On some of the cheaper ones the area the bullet must pass for an accurate reading is between the yellow lines, while other ones have a broader range and can detect the bullet accurately almost anywhere.Of coarse these yellow lines are imaginary and for demonstration purposes. Lighting conditions will effect how well all chronys work. I suggest getting the bugs worked out of you setup with a 22 before shooting more than expensive ammo.
