Looking for spl only, they are in a old good size prefab box@ about 36hz, what does everone think, would just a "single" 18 on the same power outperform in volume? Dont be biased just because the other brands are better im only thinking of tring to hit a higher wow factor in how loud it can get, i will be building a custom box but honestly just like the looks of the 18. Thoughts? (will be built where back seats are in mustang but dont want to wall right yet, that is already happening in another project) options are SA-18D4 (600rms according to specs) or DC Audio Level 3 18 m2 D1 (900rms according to specs) really like these two but will take other sugestions on good 18s in the same price range.(300-350) Also, does anyone think these could handle the full 2400rms? i know sa is able to do above but never had experiences with either of these or how much over their rated they can take.

notorious97200 Posted August 3, 2016 Report Posted August 3, 2016 Those 2 SSA subs will love this power. Give them the box they need. The Fi Q is not spl oriented. The BL would better fit your goal. I don't know if a single SA18 will be louder than your current setup, and lasts long enough. black BMW X1 2.0 l 192 hp OEM head unit, Amplifiers : Audison AP 8.9 with integrated DSP and Ampere Audio 1200. Focal ES 100 K in front doors, and Dayton RS 180 for midbass under the front seats. 2 SSA DEMONS 10" subs, in a sealed box. SecondSkin Damplifier on front doors, and Luxury Liner Pro for the cargo area.
