mecaman86 Posted August 10, 2016 Report Posted August 10, 2016 does anyone know what manufacture makes a double din headunit that has fiber optic out
kingsuv Posted August 10, 2016 Report Posted August 10, 2016 Alpine still does. Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out. not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
mgameforever01 Posted August 11, 2016 Report Posted August 11, 2016 Clarion has new unit that does i believe
06RTCharger Posted September 2, 2016 Report Posted September 2, 2016 does anyone know what manufacture makes a double din headunit that has fiber optic out Have u used a optical out before from the HU? What do u run that too? Do u notice a difference? I was thinking u run it to the amp, but then normally theres only one optical out, and that means only one amp gets it? Or is it meant for a dsp? Just wondering what its for and if its an improvement to use it.
mecaman86 Posted September 2, 2016 Author Report Posted September 2, 2016 I am going to be using it to go to a dsp

Krakin Posted September 2, 2016 Report Posted September 2, 2016 Use a high quality RCA Wire! Optics is not required in car audio. Car audio isn't even required, so why draw the line at any point in this hobby? Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.
