I know there fairly similar but tuning options are different and there right around the same price range. The Slash will make the same power between 1.5 and 4 Ohms IIRC. You shouldn't wire to 1 Ohm with those amps. I'd get the HD : I rather run smaller sized amps for the same power. Both are good amps. black BMW X1 2.0 l 192 hp OEM head unit, Amplifiers : Audison AP 8.9 amp with integrated DSP and Ampere Audio 1200. Focal ES 100 K in front doors, and Dayton RS 180 for midbass under the front seats. 2 SSA DEMONS 10" subs, in a 2.6 ft3 ported box. Looks like Both those models have the R.I.P.S. So they both offer same output throughout those ohms. The slash has more EQ abilities with the parametric bass EQ. But then again its just for subs, i'd think if u have a HU with eq abilities u could use that or a dsp and not need the eq on the amp. The hd is $100 cheaper and has the same output. Also the the HD is wide-range, with a filter freq range of 50-500hz and freq response of 6hz- 8k hz. Slash is a more strict sub application with a filter range of 40-200hz and freq response 5hz-250hz, big difference there. Another thing u could consider is size, HD is 10x8, slash 19x9.
