Is it OK to put a dual one ohm crescendo contralto 18 and a dual 4 ohm of same speaker in one box? Amp will be a cresendo bc2000d and two of them strapped when I can get it. Reason for doing is i have one dual 1 ohm and cannot find another one only the dual 4 ohm are available

I assume you intend to wire the dual 4 in parallel and the dual 1 in series and then those two in parallel for a 1 ohm final load, I don't think so, you could maybe run a separate chambers box and one amp to each side wired independently and then gain match, you would get some issues but likely not as serious, I would just go for two of the same kind and avoid wasting time trying to solve potential issues.

Maybe go with 2 separate chambers and tune 2 different amps. Tune the 4ohm side high and the 1ohm side low, then adjust crossovers for overlap and blending. The 1ohm handles the lows and the 4ohm blends into the midbass range giving you the ability to cross your mids higher and relieve some stress from them?
