Mike4068 Posted September 25, 2016 Report Posted September 25, 2016 Hey guys, put a whole new system in my jeep. Used smd dd1 to set the head and amp. Everything plays fine until bass mekanik songs play then clipping occurs. All songs are from iTunes. Anyone know what this is about?

Half the music produced these days is clipped anyway it seems but I don't think that'll be the issue.If you set your gains based on normal music that the bass mekanik songs with more bass could be pushing the amp into clipping. Probably the wave on the song is at a higher amplitude than what you set the amp for, therefore you are probably heavy clipping the amplifier. The song themselves are very likely to be clean. It isnt really a wrong doing or fault of you OR the song, more of just knowing what the song is and knowing what you set it to. Mike4068 Posted September 25, 2016 Author Report Posted September 25, 2016 30 35 hz. Songs look good in audacity. Gotta go down 4 to 5 points to clean up the bass mekanik. Sounds like over excursion. Only bass mekanik. Baffled.
