Hissing noise from speakers

Try bench testing everything if your able to do that to see if you can isolate the problem to a specific piece and rule out the car or wiring, and if not you'll know you have an issue inside somewhere you need to track down.

I use an EQ with a built in pre amp to drive the line. This allows me to keep the gains really low on my amps.

you could try grounding the amps to a closer chassis/frame grounding point, but I'm not so sure that would eliminate the noise. It's possible, but a direct ground to battery should be fine the way you have it. Did you double check to see if the noise is still there with the RCAs not connected to the amp, like you said you would?

Did you try with another amp ? Or without the external eq ? It may be the equipments, not the install.

Also tried running a new remote wire from fuse panel still have noise, car is a 2011 vw mk6 gti if that helps at all.

Doing all this without the 3.sixty installed.

I'm using anderson plugs so I can remove the install quick if need be to carry large items, thus wouldnt be a problem would it? They are soild conections.

Turn your gain down.

Still does it while turned all the way down.

When I flick the amp to LPF I get a really high pitch noise, on Full and HPF it drops to a hissing noise changing the eq doesn't change a thing. Gain changes the hissing volume but still able to hear it while gain is all the way down.

Does it do it with the car engine off or only when running?
