RedFred
Hey all, I just picked up a 2002 Tahoe, and I'll be running 4 SoundQubed HDC318s in a C-Pillar wall on two AQ 3.5ks @ 0.5 ohms per amp. Electrical will be two 270A JS Ultimate alternators, 1 G78 AGM under the hood, and 2 or 3 G31 AGMs in the rear. How many runs of 2/0 welding wire would you guys suggest? Also does anyone have easy suggestions for where to run it? I'm currently thinking 3 runs each of + and - (6 total runs), and running them under the vehicle. Any and all advice greatly appreciated.? Smoove
3 runs front to back is fine for only 540amps of alt. You'd probabaly be fine with 2 POS runs if they are OFC. 3 POS runs for CCA It's a Tahoe, use the frame for grounds. 3 frame in front and 3 fame in back 2 Team Fi 15's v1 2 DD M5's 970amps of Alt 6th order blowthroughThe truck Blowthrough build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/155555-smooves-1996-chevy-ext-cab-c1500-slow-build/The 350z build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/170694-smooves-2003-nissan-350z/ My FB page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Smooves-Car-Audio-and-performance/719746144805343 Team Fi Audio http://www.ficaraudio.com/

reedal
I'll be running four runs of SHCA 1/0 from the passenger side underhood battery along the frame and up to the rear right behind the second row, running it through these https://www.amazon.com/Daystar-KU20041BK-Universal-Firewall-Boot/dp/B0051ZG5K8 if you want the link for the second battery tray for the engine bay I can post that for you. You can fit a group 34 battery in that spot, and you'll have to remove the fender brace and cut the bracket that it bolts to. Yeah if you've got the link for a second battery tray that would be great to look at too. 6 hours ago, Smoove said: 3 runs front to back is fine for only 540amps of alt. I was planning to ground under the seats in the back, and haven't put much thought to grounds in the front yet.

Yeah if you've got the link for a second battery tray that would be great to look at too. If you try and do the "does this part match my vehicle" option and it says it doesn't, pay no attention to that. Those are the parts you need for the passenger side battery location. Battery tray https://www.ebay.com/itm/191528781912 Battery clamp bolt https://www.ebay.com/itm/262455756309 battery clamp https://www.ebay.com/itm/371780949748 installation is pretty simple. Just unbolt the brace and cut the mounting bracket on the firewall side off. Then unbolt the metal tray that is between the coolant overflow and firewall, then bolt the new tray down, battery in, then bolt the clamp down on the side of the battery to secure it. I wouldn't use a battery that is taller than the XS D3400, but the 3400 is drop in fit.
