Does the fs parameter change after breaking in sub?

My fi audio Team 15 is supposed to have a FS around 31... My subwoofer was 47 when new. Is this normal?

Btw, I know this because I was there when fi checked it.

Normal, other parameters change as well, should land around manufacturer specs over time.

Get those spiders loosened up and broken in and you should land around manufacturer Fs. I'm not guessing on this one, measured several Crossfire XS series subs from new to broken in to verify. Team suspension is pretty damn stiff from the initial build. It will loosen up and hit much lower as it breaks in.

Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

Yes.

The FS is the resonating frequency of the moving mass of the driver with respect to the mass of the parts and the stiffness of the suspension.

Crudely, it can be expressed as Fs=stiffness/mass. As the suspension loosens up, the FS will come down. Likewise, when you have drivers with different cone sizes, the Fs changes not due to different suspension used, but because different cones have different masses
