holy fuck, why are people bitching about soldering it in?

sure, a crimp may not look as "clean" as a soldered connection.... who the fuck is gonna be looking up under the dash anyways?

they arent as reliable either

its always better to do more than u have to not just get by

edit: oh and its that attitude that makes most of the local shop installs, circuit city and best buy suck ass.

"lets just do enough to make it work and hope it continues to work" aint gonna cut it anymore

I said nothing about soldering, I don't solder(only factory cut wires).

You don't work at a shop I take it... you see enough units come in from other places where the connections have came loose, they cut thru the wires, most the time they leave bare wire exposed.

At our shop it is... strip haf inch to an inch of coating off the wire... poke an eyelet... feed wire thru and wrap back around... and tape. When you're doing 5-10 remote starts a day(just me not counting other installers) in the winter you don't want them coming back, you lose money that way.

then you can also take a zip tie before you put the tape on, and put one on that way it WONT come apart haha ;) little trick i learned from my local shop :)
