On long drives the tires heat up more, so you want to make sure they have enough room to breath. If my tires max pressure is 32, usually i'll fill them to about 30 cold. newls1 Posted July 23, 2008 Report Share Posted July 23, 2008 make sure the trans fluid is up to par, take a quart of oil, and trans fluid "just in case", and I always like to travel with at least 2 cans of "fix-a-flat". Keep a small toolbox handy with all the needed tools, etc.... other then that, have a nice trip.
