Unless they are isolated from "fresh" air, a fan isnt going to help. If they are in an enclosure almost any fan will help. I would find a squirrel cage style fan as I have found them to move the most air. If budget is an issue I would go with just a regular fan simular to the ones used in desktop computers.

Some people need a sympathetic pat... on the head...with my hammer

why wouldnt a fan help if the amp is in "fresh" air? i would assume it would work how a laptop works have a fan bringing in "colder" air and another fan extracting the heated air.

not a good example a laptop is enclosed he said his seat is 5" off the ground so it may help a little but not like if it was encased.

You probably want a crossflow fan mounted in a kind of cool way, but you could just slap a couple of regular fans on the amp wherever it gets hottest and it'll still help cool it enormously.

Alternatively you could find out why it gets so hot in the first place...

yea i might just put 2 on each side, im guessing the reason it gets so hot is because i do play very it loud for a long time or there might be something wrong with the amp it has had 12v on one side of the speaker output but its never showed any problems
