Each individual browser tab runs within its own isolated process, much like the way that processes work in an operating system. This will massively increase the robustness of the browser by insulating the application from bugs that cause crashes within individual tabs. The tab will go down, but the rest of the browser will remain unaffected. The multiprocess design also reduces the impact of memory fragmentation by ensuring that the memory used by a tab can be reclaimed completely when the tab is closed. http://www.google.com/chrome It is definitely fast! check it out. I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy. I love Vista other here will call it shit. I like Safari browser others will call it shit. its rather pointless to base a decision on someone elses findings. Torres Posted September 3, 2008 Report Share Posted September 3, 2008 i just downloaded it to try it. dno what it is...but i'm not a big fan of the other browsers. almost used opera but i've stuck with IE. but...i'm really liking this browser. lots of viewing area. VERY fast. only thing i dont see is a 'home' button. has forward/backward and refresh buttons and all tho. but when you open a new tab you get the most visited sites in little windows, so the loss of a home button isnt that much of a loss for my use. i think ima start using this browser now Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
