I know this wasn't the best install, but it it very solid construction. There's no visible flex on the box, but I'm also using tiny subs.from that im seeing theres no flex because its not properly sealed up anyhow. theres places all over that look like airs escapingPTcary's build while ALOT more solid then yours, imo is a waste of materials also. its like a oxy moron to have a wall and not care about loudness. it just sounds moronic to say that loudness didnt matter. Talk to Randy, or Steve, or Gmonk or someone that has a wall thats worth a damn rather then getting ideas from another person who really has no idea imo. whatever you decide please calculate out your box and plan 2x before cutting wood.

Btw, if you had read ptcary's suggestion, it was to do a box like Randy's. You're obviously not paying attention. I've been talking to Randy about tips and tricks with his design and he's been helping me. Hell I might even consider uhoh's ideas above. Why do you bash an unfinished build? I specifically said I'm not finishing it and that it's NOT sealed. I've done some pretty good builds before in this car and lately I've been experimenting with high amounts of power that I'm not used to. Cut me a break. I guess forum asshole speaks for itself. I'm not sure if you all caught my Amplifier thread, but one of my amps thumps loudly upon startup. That was the problem that fried my setup before and it's bad again. After returning from repair it was very subtle and I figured it was normal, but now it's violent. I came to the decision of pulling it out and running just the bottom amp at 2-ohms and holy shit... it's louder and cleaner than before and no thumping! I'm moving even more air and using less draw off electrical. So IMO 2000W > 8000W. But seriously, I'm calling my rep and I'm demanding a swap. I think its a lemon and I don't want it messing anything up again... And as for tuning, it's SOOO much better now. It sounds like a clean, loud system now. Just based on feeling I'm saying I'm doing very high 140s and moving tons more air. I'll try to test vid again soon. What headunit were you running (couldnt find it in the pics)? Wouldnt be a Pioneer would it? If it is, its probably using the RCA's as a ground, or a problem with your remote wire thats worth checking out. '91 Trooper - 12 x 15's

I'll look into it, but I tried switching RCAs from amp to amp and it did the same thing. I never tried the remote wire, but the amp that had the problem just had a jumper from the other amp, so wouldn't they essentially do the same thing? Now that I've taken the load off of it, you can still hear it kicking over hard, but no sound goes to the subs. Need an install? Hit me up.[email protected]Got car audio questions?
