My $7 Anti Theft System

Recommended Posts

what do you guys think...

went to home depot, got L brackets, and 'star' pattern screws as they call them

i plan on two brackets on each side of the box, left and right only, none in back or front, with two screws into the box, and three into the carpet on each bracket

then into every hole for my amp, 4 more

my box is getting painted with this paint also, i did the brackets super quick this morning so they're kinda fucked up

You can actually use a big phillips to unscrew those and the thiefs were probably trying to get at your "Pirate's Booty".

glad ur shit didnt get stolen, to be honest their not really gonna steal ur box, their gonna go for the amp, the sub, so screwing down ur box is pointless.

U wanna make sure they can't get the sub out of the box, which than they will take the box, which is when u would screw it down looks good though

I bolt he box down from the inside if I can, but that should help.

What David said.... or you build a box like mine...no one has a clue how I get it in and out of the trunk.

This definitely explains the need of screws and brackets from lowes... lol. It would definitely slow a thief down, but given the time they could still get it. Doing anything to keep the subs from being able to be taken out?

Remember that a lot of times if a thief is unable to get something, next option is usually to destroy it.

Use bolts... screws can be ripped out of sheet metal very easily.
