basshead69 Posted December 11, 2008 Report Posted December 11, 2008 I have a pwk box, and it is very loud. I can do over 150 in the floor and 147's on the dash with 2 12's and 2 1500 watt amplifiers. I can burp it or play music. I will put some pictures on here of the blueprints and the finished product. I curently have the box out of my suv right now because I am experimenting with different box designs from a friend and fellow competitor.

People have to remember though this was designed especially for my Kia Sportage and it sounds damn good in that, but it may sound like crap in a different vehicle. I think I got a good return on my 50 dollar investment.
Forevrbumpn Posted December 11, 2008 Report Posted December 11, 2008 Those boxes you guys are talking about with like 1.2cf per sub, and long ass ports are tlines, I seen most of the designs you guys are speaking of like, Elvis's MTX box, and a few others For a t line to get really down, there has to be some kind of airspace behind the woofer, before it enters the port, ESPECIALLY if there is more than 1 woofer in the t-line Hell, I just put my old bandpass tline in my truck today, that is only 1.5cf sealed, and a 34hz quarter wave on the back end (BTW not designed by PWK) I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

I had someone else design and work on my box. Whats the difference? I thought we were here to discuss Petes designs. If you wanna make a thread to badmouth me or my system which is louder than anything you will ever own or maybe even hear, feel free. Just dont do it here.

Neel Posted December 11, 2008 Report Posted December 11, 2008 Ive personally ran one of pete's designs for over a year now and i am very happy with it, compared to what ive designed and built for the same setup i have now his design got a lot lower. I am currently doing 140.0db at 34hz in street A, In USACI i did a 142.8 its great IMO mainly because i built my car for everyday music and not just hitting numbers. I recommend his designs, but i would try designing and building your own box a couple times to get an idea of what you want your setup to sound like, and then see what his design will do for you. Whats the fun in car stereo if you don't try out a bunch of different stuff? Too Much Stuff to list .
