Team Bassick Joey
not too late bro i havent remedied it yet, in fact now its flexin more than ever :\well great then.... take off your headliner as best as you can... if i remember, that truck had 2 braces across the roof you shoot the foam inside the brace and along side the edges of the roof line by the side windows... and in the inner walls in between the outside skin and the interior skin..... Know this wont stop it completely but it well help brace your roof alot... I used this on several of my cars and a few others..... as for the bare skin of the inner roof... well you are just going to have to break down and get some dynamat, hushmat.. or what ever you can get your hands on. 2007 1st West Coast Regional Champ S/Max 157.3Db 2008 1st West Coast Regional Champ S/Max 158.8Db 2009 160db is my Goal!!! psturmer
if your not going to ever compete put some added bracing up there. explorers have 2 braces stock. take your head liner down and add some 1'' square aluminum bars up there. to secure them use a special epoxy. i dont know whats its called, but i know the metal will tear before the bond breaks. the epoxy is very important. clean surfaces well (including removing paint). then if you are really ambitious add a couple layers of deadener. you can also face the subs to the side. if you do this put both 15's facing one side. this does reduce roof vibrations substantially. and in my same gen exploder facing the subs to the side is loudest Ford Explorer 2000 4 12'' Type R's under window line Legal: 155+ dB
