Guest Fi-Beat-Down Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 we were playing tug of war and my dog went to get a better grip to lock tigter on the SHORT rope and snapped a little on my hand. im not mad at my dog at all.. its not as bad as it looks, its my fault for using a short rope with such a strong dog at the end. all i had was a old terry towel & a sock with some tape to wrap my hand until someone got me some real bandages.. lol here she is,..

Eh, while I doubt that this was comfortable, people are pretty much programmed to overreact when we see blood. Heck, when I have nosebleeds, everyone panics, but it really isn't a whole lot of blood. It's like a drop or two every second. That said, I still would have gone to the hospital. lol As for who to blame, I do agree with the OP. I was doing the same thing with my lab, and she bit me. She was having fun, got excited, and went further up on the rope and it just so happened it was where my hand was. She didn't do it on purpose, and I should have realized that it was a distinct possibility that she would try and get a better grip. Shit happens, just have to deal with it.
