David Posted February 7, 2007 Report Share Posted February 7, 2007 Converting Members Due to the different ways that the information is stored, not all member information can be converted cleanly. Avatars may not be converted as well as some other member preferences. Member names, posts and passwords will be converted successfully. As with all conversion sections, running the convertor will empty your Invision Power Board Members table before inserting the new data. It is suggested that you ensure that you know your administrators account password before converting. Due to the way that SMF constructs the member group permissions, the groups will not be converted and the administrators will be put into the IPB admin group and all other members will be placed into the default member group. Converge - This Convertor has Converge Support built-in. As a result, only one member account is permitted for each e-mail address. The first Member with a given e-mail address is converted as normal, any additional accounts using the same e-mail address will be placed into the Validating Member Group.
