BanginOnABudget
1968 Chevy Caprice Classic. AKA "The Boat" Im 5'9" and I could lay down across the back seat. It was my Grandfathers car, he sold it to my Mom and she handed it down to me. My Pop was a retired painter at Fisher Body down in Baltimore. He hooked me up when I got the car and painted it Midnight Blue. I installed my first system in that car. A set of Jensen speakers and a high tech Craig push button / cassette stereo, it was 1980. I thought that system was the shit and it sounded like it boat owner here... i have a 71 buick riviera, a boat tail, me finks i have the real boat here >.> if bs is called proof will be given but yeah, first car was an 87 buick lesabre custom, hella torque, buick fwd 283 (i think) had 40k on engine and 150k on body, gave it to my mom, then took her 96 mercury villager GS, havent had shit for 3 years(im 17, got the buick when i was 13) the riv is/was my grandfathers but if i had not started working on it it still woulda been sitting beside his house. if his garage wasnt full of BS we could do more work to it tho, all it needs to be road worthy is to get the damn bubbles out of the brake lines.... im taking out my passenger seat, battery is disconnected, going to unwire and take out the three amps, take out the 70+ lb box, then the platform so i can crimp 1 wire. Almost as bad as those fegs that put those horns in their grills and roll down the street distorting the block.... 1990 Jeep Cherokee 2 Dr. Big-3 in 0g on Stock Alt. Pioneer 6.5" and 5.25"s temp. until i can afford the new crescendos. Pioneer 6000ub Reciever NO amps at the moment. SA-15 on 1kw coming soon. MSG Me for a free enclosure design!! R_Mac_1
First car was a 90 Cadillac Eldorado. It was a good car for a few reasons. Got it for 1200. Had to replace a few things along the way (alt, fuel pump, control arm) but overall was a good deal. I got hit by someone in the quarter panel (pocketed the $800) and ended up selling it for ~$800. So, overall, it was a cheap car to drive. Other than gas and insurance, the net money I paid for the car was around $4-500. Had my first system in it too. MrSkippyJ
a 91 crx with carbon fiber hood ground control coil overs 2 tens and a real expensive sony head unit but dont remember the model. That looks like the MEX-1HD from Sony, the unit with the 10g HD. I had that for a while and it wasn't too bad. IIRC it had a very harsh sound to it, but it has been a while so I may be wrong about that.
