JPM75
Umm guy.. Take me seriously here.... Until you can afford a new tank.. Go over the hole with a bar of soap. Soap will seal it until you can get it fixed Not to sound like a ass, but I never said I couldn't afford it, just wondered how much a new one would cost, OR how to fix it! Once again....not being a ass about it, and it IS serious, this I know, if it wasn't, I wouldn't have asked for advice. Money isn't a big thing, it's more of a time thing!! (but hey...when you have one, you never have the other! cracker
thats true there lol. well if cash aint a prob but time is maybe just call around a few good shops and get a estimate on it( ya can always save a few bucks picking up the tank from a parts store yourself) and tell em its a time thing. ive done my share of all kinds of GM gas tanks especiallly where i live, but if its not really rusty(bolts and whatnot) it shouldnt be a prob with gettin it done within a day. by the looks of it id be more than happy to help ya....if there wasnt such a gap between locations lol. i have only been so lucky in my career to get the good rusty ones. pk222
you could use water weld. its actually for fixing gas tanks. I've used it on mine. It looked like someone ran over barbwire with it and it only took 5 minutes and has held for the past 4 months with no more smells or leaking. Its a 2 part epoxy putty that you kneed together and it was easy and worked great.
keitare
Go to a salvage (junk) yard and pick one up or ebay one Quote Subs are like titties, They need to come in pairs because ones and threes are just wrong, and larger amounts will always draw a crowd, we all have our favorite sizes, but the bigger ones are more fun to watch move. cracker
... and pickin the tank up yourself saves cash cuz shops will charge retail price, so they get a few more bucks outta customers. sorry if this info isnt liked by any shop owners but it is a fact and not alot of people know that til after they paid their bill. i find it to be some what dishonest though and i cant roll that way. but like i said before replacing it will gurantee 100% the leak to stop, where as repairing wont. thats my story and im stickin to it : Quote March 2010 SOTM winner my old buildhttp://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/50219-dank-aka-crackers-bonne-new-v2-build-in-the-works-hahahaaaaaa/page__hl__crackers my youtube page - http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=jackiedan04#g/u my feedback - http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/56540-official-cracker-feedback/ i need tacos and bass to live!!!!! and will NEVER change hahaaaa TEAM NOIZE VIOLATION
