i voted ps3 cause one reason 360 blows imo cause everyone i no that has one just has tons of problems with the red light of death thing imo the 360 blows get a ps3

Well I had my 2nd RROD and it wasn't really "Tons of problems." A week later I got a new one all for free. All said I was without for maybe 10 days.

If you can't go without a console for 10 days in the summer then you have issues. (myself included). The thing I missed was streaming via WMP to my TV. I use that and now netflix several times a day. More than gaming.

Go with the PS3, it's newer, the graphics are better, the online is not shit regardless of what whoever says and the games are great.

It's like the iPhone, it does everything. It's a media center/computer/game machine/more. It's for the more mature crowd and it's a step into the future.

i disagree....you may PREFER the ps3 over the 360......nothings gonna change your opinion - but better graphics? i dont think so, not yet anyway from what ive seen.

i have 3 xbox 360's and a ps3.......the xboxe's have TONS of hours on them while my 4yr old PS3 (i think its 4) has LESS then 1hr playtime on it. If the graphics WERE in fact better then 360 i would play it more but they arent so i dont.

i have my ps3 sitting on a bran-new 60" 1080 plasma and i STILL cant get myself to turn it on. I did do that thing where i made a character and walked around a virtual mall or something, went bowling with some other virtual people - that was fun for 3.5 minutes

I am STILL waiting for that "something" to make me go ape-shit over my Sony platform again and play it daily. If there was no such thing as XBOX, im sure i would because PS3 SHOULD RULE with all those features.......just doesnt, yet - to me.

nahhh, i actually have 4......one of em went red-ring on me so its on the garage floor while i decide to ship it or chip it (across the driveway) LOL.

gonna cost $100 to fix since its out of warranty. That 360 is my original one and has a shit ton of hours on it so as much as it sucks that it went down, at least i got my moneys worth.

i see on youtube there is a few ways to fix it yourself, ill prob let my son try - i mean what do i have to lose if he screws up? not much.

just out of curiosity, what r u askin for yours?

The PS3 has a blu-ray disc player built into it, that's the actual HD format. Microsoft features an HD-DVD drive that can run up to 1080i iirc. Even if it does run at 1080p, the format of the Xbox game discs can't out perform a blu-ray disc by any means because in comparison, it's old. If you want to do research and chekc it, feel free though it's proven. It's analogical to vegitable beef to real beef, they look the same, might taste similar and yet there is still no comparison, because in the end they are not the same. In reference to me prefering one system over the other, I've owned two Xbox systems, neither got the red ring of death. I got rid of the first because I didn't have time to play it, and the second (which I played regularly) to help out a friend. Another thing to remember is that it's extremely hard for companies to configure games for the PS3 still because the platform is still relatively new and blu-ray is also new itself. You said that you had played your Playstation for an hour in the past four years? The case in point may be then, that you are in fact missing out on the suberb graphics emitted by games such as, i.e Killzone 2. The Playstation 3 is the platform closest to flawless to date.

i have about 10 PS3 games and NONE of them blew me away with the great graphics.....and i have nothing but plasmas and LCD's at my house so its NOT the TV. On top of that, even though HD-DVD lost the HD battle, to me, even with the add-on vs. built in, it looks better. I wasnt all that impressed by the blueray on the ps3 compared to the 360 HDadd on which blew me away when i saw it the first time. The blue ray was like ehhh.....maybe it was the movie i put in it because i know blueray is pretty much the same or should be.

anyway, if the Ps3 is better, which to me its NOT, then when are they gonna prove it? 2015?

ha after our flat screen got messed up we have NO games at all here lol, but im not into games real big, but the xbox controlers have never been my friend since i have played mostly a PS2 lol. looks like alot of people like the 360s though. id prob take a PS3 for reasons of the controls are easier for this old guy lol and i like the built in blueray player. i have never played online either but my boy has complained alot about playin madden online and people quiting on him cuz they cant beat him lol. how do they hold up with kids though lol thats what i need to know here lol. TV didnt last but a couple months...
