Trust me, they will melt and cause all kinds of trouble when they get hot and melt. Run them along the frame rail or in the rail and keep them tied up as much as possible. Low n Loud Posted March 25, 2007 Report Share Posted March 25, 2007 for strapping wire to the bottom of your car i use Hurricane straps that are used on houses to brace rafters and roofs together. they come in a roll at depot and work awesome.
