sounds like the wifi/backlight is a big deal...

i dont have an iphone but with all my batteries on every piece of electronics i make sure the first 3 cycles i completely run it down and completely charghe it back up w/o interuption ... to ensure full battery life. im not sure if you still have to do this but i do it anyways

just an idea

all iphones have a bad battery life. that's their biggest downfall. i've looked around for replacement batteries with a higher mAh to beef up the battery life (little to no avail) but replacing those batteries isnt necessarily a walk through the park lol. they have external batteries/chargers that you can buy. check into a few of these

these are nice as they act as a case as well. just a slight increase in bulk:

imo those are the most conventional. slap it on and you can run around with it in your pocket again

then here's a few more:

That is 200 text messages a day ?

Yep that's average 100 sent and 100 recieved which I dontthibk I go a day without doing. Unless I'm with my girl all day or if it's one of those days where I feel like ignoring everyone. It sucks in a wy because out of all my friends, im one of the only ones who would prefer to call someone vs texting

It's not that they are bad batteries, it's the fact that it's a smart phone, and they take up alot of battery.

i have a 3G, and use it all day, email/text/calender/push/ipod on most of the day, and it last all day, i charge it everynight, so you might want too take it by apple and ask them about it..

so anyway i have this nice new Iphone gs 32mb - i really like it, it is the cadillac of all cell phones IMO.....but the battery life is HORRIBLE!!! If i didnt sit at a computer at home, have a car charger plugged in on the way to work and sit at work next to a computer, i dont know how i would get by!

my screen is not ultra bright, its about half-way. I disabled wifi to see if that helped and if it did, i didnt notice much.

am i the only one? Anyone have any suggestions? I cant live my life tethered to a usb port dammit LOL!

i will talk to my brother in law about tit he works for at&t and ill get back to you call or text me ill leave my number on myspace

things that helped my battery life..

set my email to fetch once an hour.

turned push Off

back light to a little under 1/2

turn location services Off

here lately i can charge it all night and it will last all day unless i do alot of surfing. i never turn 3g off.

i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?

or get a blackberry, lol

my thing legit lasts 3-5 days, even making 10-20 calls a day and a hundred or so texts, and bluetooth always on showing customers how it works with stereos and shit.

it shocked me how long it lasts (its a curve 83 series...apparantly the touchscreen one is as bad as the iphone)

monster/rockford/kicker/stinger cables, pioneer source, jbl highs/amps, kinetik/shuriken batts, iraggi alt, dei security, dc subs(atleast for now)

Im guessing you are on 3g where you live? that will also make a big difference. (as has slightly already been mentioned) If you can turn off 3g when you aren't needing the extra speed (pretty much everything but surfing the interwebs) you will also notice a good battery boost.

I also have the 32 gig 3gs, but I don't even need to mess with the 3g since it will still be a slight bit longer till we get it out where I live. I haven't really gone a day yet I had to charge in the middle.... for example my battery is at 84%, although since I got up late I only have 53 minutes of usage, and 10.4 hours of standby
